Gerald Henderson and Wayne Ellington go way back. They were high school buddies in suburban Philadelphia long before they were ACC rivals. So when Ellington’s parents moved to the Triangle, guess who came to dinner? “They cook it up,” Henderson says of the Ellingtons’ dinner spread. “Big Wayne, he cooks fried chicken, rice, string beans – everything.
