Blake Griffin may have won the made-for-TV grudge match, but it was Tyler Hansbrough that cut down the nets in the River City on Sunday, following North Carolina’s 72-60 victory over Oklahoma in the South Region final. Griffin posted 23 points and 16 rebounds to Hansbrough’s eight points, six rebounds and three assists, but two fouls in the opening seven minutes limited UNC’s four-time All-American to just 26 minutes total.
