Kelcy Quarles clarifies his search process
Posted Mar 31, 2009
South Carolina commitment Kelcy Quarles (6-foot-5, 270 pounds), a defensive lineman from Greenwood (SC), sent a chill through the spines of Gamecock fans last week after he told a North Carolina fan Web site he was going to decommit and re-start the recruiting process.
But apparently after giving that further thought, Quarles decided to stick with his commitment. But he will look at some of the schools showing him interest.
“I expected Carolina and Clemson to come after me but not all these other schools,” Quarles said. “I’m not decommitting. That was just miscommunication between me and the reporter.”
