Apparently,Virginia wasn’t interested in feeding the “wow factor” need of its fans when hiring its next basketball coach. Instead of making a serious play for coaches like Oklahoma’s Jeff Capel and Minnesota’s Tubby Smith - both of whom were highly desired by the school’s hungry fan base - or LSU’s Trent Johnson and Texas’ Rick Barnes, Virginia has hired Washington State’s Tony Bennett.
