Gabe King to Transfer

Greensboro’s Gabe King, a 6-5, 250-pound defensive end, is rated No. 34 in Rivals.com’s top 100 prospects in the nation. King played last season at Page High School, making 75 tackles for the state 4-A playoff club.

But according to multiple sources, King is planning to transfer to nearby Northern Guilford for his senior season. Northern already features one of the state’s other top prospects in defensive back Keenan Allen. King has more than 20 scholarship offers and likes California, North Carolina, Clemson, N.C. State and Tennessee. (Fayetteville Observer)
