Despite Departures, Tar Heels Are Hungry for More

When UNC begins its quest next season to defend the national championship it captured here by beating Michigan State, there will probably be plenty of attention on II, who averaged 1.4 points in 9.6 minutes a game this season. Although the Tar Heels may lose all but one of their starters because of graduation and departures to the N.B.A., they will return a bevy of frontcourt talent and welcome one of the top recruiting classes in the nation.
