3. North Carolina: There are plenty of reasons to believe Carolina will remain a contender despite the likelihood of losing four starters. Big men Deon Thompson and Ed Davis (who some called the most talented player on the team) will keep the Tar Heels strong on the inside. Most importantly, the Tar Heels have reloaded as few programs can, adding what may be the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, complete with five top 100 prospects.
