Travis McKie is Richmond Times-Dispatch player of the year
Posted Apr 16, 2009
The marquee college basketball coaches came to watch Travis McKie on a regular basis. North Carolina's Roy Williams created a stir at Patrick Henry High School at the Colonial District tournament. Dino Gaudio of Wake Forest saw him at the Siegel Center. Virginia Tech's Seth Greenberg and former Virginia coach Dave Leitao were interested spectators. Anthony Grant was interested while he was still at VCU.
Assistant coaches from plenty of schools continue to bird-dog McKie, a 6-6 junior forward for the John Marshall Justices who is the Times-Dispatch player of the year.
