Local Fayetteville players get crack at ACC stars


Kenny Haywood’s jersey already hangs in the rafters in the arena where he was a Fayetteville State University star. As the leading scorer in ACC history, ’s jersey will certainly one day be hoisted into the upper reaches of the Smith Center. Tonight, those two players will face off in a game at the Crown Center Arena. Haywood — a lifelong fan of the Tar Heels — said he won’t be intimidated by the former national player of the year.
