His hoop dreams unrealized, Brooks Foster nears NFL career


always had a notion he’d one day hear his name called on draft day and start earning a paycheck as a professional athlete. But the Boiling Springs and UNC product was long under the assumption he’d be in the NBA. Instead, Foster is expected to be a second-day selection in this weekend’s NFL draft. While it’s obvious the talented wide receiver made the right decision on which sport to pursue, the outcome actually came almost by accident. (Spartanburg Herald-Journal)
