Crothers: A Wonderlic Wonder

It should be noted up front that a player’s future NFL success is not necessarily based on his Wonderlic score. Erstwhile 49ers quarterback Alex Smith scored 40, Dan Marino 16. But it could be a predictor. Vince Young is rumored to have scored 6. So how important is the Wonderlic? I asked UNC coach Butch Davis, who has extensive experience coaching in both the college and pros, how much NFL head coaches pay attention to it. (ACC Sports Journal)
