Mission accomplished. North Carolina won the NCAA Tournament East Regional championship last night, defeating Louisville 83-73 behind a dominating final 11:13 from Tyler Hansbrough. Hansbrough almost single-handedly fought off a determined Louisville comeback from 12 points down at halftime. Pounding the boards for rebounds, hitting 10 of 16 shots to open the second half and forcing fouls, Louisville cut UNC’s lead to 56-55. (Winston-Salem Journal)
