Posted May 22, 2009
Linebacker Ty Linton (6-2 210) of Charlotte has committed to North Carolina according to his father. Linton made his pledge Thursday and will try to play baseball along with football. "He just felt like it was a good situation because they were on him early," Mr. Linton said. Clemson and USC had been involved to some degree with Linton but had not offered. Linton also had offers from Wisconsin, Duke, West Virginia, Illinois, Syracuse, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
