ESPN ranks Harrison Barnes No. 1
Posted May 28, 2009
Ames High basketball player Harrison Barnes has added another No. 1 ranking to his quickly lengthening list. ESPNU has Barnes as the top-ranked prospect in the class of 2010 in its first listing of the 100 best players. Barnes averaged 19.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game as a junior, helping the Little Cyclones to a perfect 27-0 record and the Class 4A state championship. He recently narrowed the list of schools he is considering to a dozen possibilities, with Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and Duke all in the mix.
