Myers Park pitcher commits to UNC

Myers Park pitcher Brian Holberton committed to North Carolina this week, according to a report by the Charlotte Observer. The 5-foot-9 Holberton, a junior, batted at .464 this season with 30 RBIs. On the pitchers mound, he threw out 60-percent of base runners. According to the report, Holberton also had offers from South Carolina, UNC-Charlotte and Virginia Tech.
