Harris Lifts Pirates To Showdown With Tar Heels

East Carolina advances to a super regional to face host North Carolina, the No. 4 national seed. South Carolina couldn’t get out of a regional for the third time in five seasons. The Pirates won the battle of the bullpen and of baserunning. Wright followed Seth Simmons, the Pirates’ closer (nine saves) who was extended to 3 1/3 innings Monday. (Baseball America)
