Mike Fox has become tired, with some justification, of answering questions about his team’s ability to hit left-handers. Last weekend the Tar Heels pounded Coastal Carolina southpaw Cody Wheeler, knocking him out in the third inning on the way to a 14-5 thumping. Wheeler went into that game with a 16-0 career mark. But ECU freshman lefty Kevin Brandt struck out ten Tar Heels in 8.1 scoreless innings six weeks ago.
