Still Nothing Flashy About Marvin Williams
Posted Jul 1, 2009
Marvin Williams arrives at the Kitsap Family YMCA unannounced, shadowed by friend Kevin Van Hook, and no one appears to notice. That is about normal for the understated Williams. “To be honest,” Williams said, “my life is boring.” He and Van Hook last week lifted weights for 30 minutes, shot a few free throws and then they disappeared. No fanfare, no nothing. But that is Marvin, a young man of few words who moves his lanky 6-foot-9 frame quietly through the world.
