Kendric Burney tabbed for preseason honor

It may have been something Kendric Burney wanted to do, but it still came as a surprise for the former Southwest High School football standout. Burney, a red shirt junior cornerback at North Carolina, was named to the preseason All-ACC football team Monday. The ballots were casts by media members attending the ACC football kickoff gathering at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, and the list was released Wednesday. (Jacksonville Daily News)
