Making a huge splash on our new preseason N.C. Top 25 is defensive tackle/tight end Ethan Farmer of South Columbus High in Tabor City. Unranked on our spring list, he jumped onto area college radars late in the spring after an impressive combine, and climbed to No.10 in the state. Not far behind were first-timers Ty Linton (No.12) and David Durham (No.14), Charlotte Christian linebackers. (Charlotte Observer)
