NCAA Football Preview - North Carolina Tar Heels
Posted Aug 18, 2009
The Tar Heels were a solid defensive unit in 2008 that thrived on big plays. The team recorded 22 sacks on the season, and forced 29 turnovers, including 20 interceptions. With nine starters returning on this side of the football, expect big things in 2009. The strength of the unit is in the linebacking corps, where juniors Quan Sturdivant and Bruce Carter reign supreme.
