No. 1 Carolina Wins Wild Opener Against No. 3 UCLA

Senior forward Casey Nogueira, who won five National Player of the Year awards for the Tar Heels last year, led the balanced Carolina offense with a pair of goals. Sophomore forward Courtney Jones had a goal and two assists and senior midfielder Tobin Heath, junior midfielder Ali Hawkins and sophomore forward Emmalie Pfankuch all scored a goal and has an assist in the match. UNC's other goal came from junior forward Katie Klimczak.
