Outlook: There’s good reason for the high hopes around Chapel Hill this fall. Not only are the Tar Heels coming off a resurgent 8-5 season that ended with their first bowl trip in four years, coach Butch Davis enters his third season with a stout, veteran defense and enough returning playmakers on offense to make a serious run at the Coastal Division title that slipped away from them late last season.
