Veteran defense will set the tone for North Carolina


North Carolina will begin the season ranked among the nation's top 25 teams, but isn't impressed. He appreciates the rankings -- No. 20 in the USA Today coaches' poll, No. 21 in The Associated Press poll -- with the understanding that voters recognize progress under Coach , but he believes that much has to be proved on the field.
