Junior midfielder Michael Farfan tallied the equalizer in the 61st minute, and No. 1 North Carolina threatened throughout regulation and both overtime periods but could not find the go-ahead goal in a 1-1 draw with Northern Illinois Friday in the Carolina Nike Classic at Fetzer Field.
