North Carolina's 40-6 season-opening rout over The Citadel on Saturday gave coach Butch Davis the chance to get some new bodies some game experience. The Tar Heels used 70 players, including 11 true freshmen. Looking ahead: Next up is Connecticut (noon Saturday, ESPNU), which opened with a 23-16 road win over Ohio. Quarterback Zach Frazer threw two touchdowns but also three interceptions. (Raleigh News & Observer)
