Things change, quickly, for UNC

Opposing teams that got used to 10 years of mostly mediocre football at UNC are in for a rude awakening this season. Coach Butch Davis and his staff know how to build a winner. The days of slow feet and paper-thin depth, on defense at least, are gone. What the Tar Heels have now is a defense that resembles the UNC team of 1996 and '97 that sent busloads of players to the NFL.
