The Carolina Football fans arrived early for the 6 p.m. matchup on a holiday weekend and there was an electricity in the stands, both anticipating the start of the 2009 season and for the bright future for Butch Davis and the talented roster that he has recruited and developed in his three years as the head coach for the Tar Heels.
