Michael Jordan became the greatest player of his era, perhaps ever, by dominating his greatest rivals, often mercilessly and with a beguiling smile that hid his true intent. His entrance into the Hall of Fame followed a similar script. As he celebrated his induction Friday night, Jordan teased and occasionally embarrassed his old foes in a 22-minute speech, smiling throughout and thoroughly entertaining a packed house at Springfield’s symphony hall.
