Countdown to Kickoff: UNC vs. ECU
Posted Sep 18, 2009
Things are about to get personal at Kenan Stadium as No. 19 North Carolina welcomes in-state rival East Carolina to town for a Saturday showdown (noon/ESPN2). The Tar Heels (2-0) enter the 12th edition of this controversial rivalry as a 7.5-point favorite, while boasting an 8-2-1 overall series lead. But the Pirates (1-1) delivered the last blow in 2007, handing Butch Davis his first loss as UNC’s head coach down in Greenville, 34-31.
