Heels get ready for ACC play

North Carolina safety was surprised to learn Monday that the Tar Heels haven't won an ACC opener since 2000. The 22nd-ranked Tar Heels (3-0) head to Georgia Tech (2-1) on Saturday for their first conference matchup of the season, and Searcy said the team is excited to finally get the ACC portion of their schedule started. "We're very ready, we're confident," said Searcy. (Durham Herald-Sun)
