North Carolina did benefit from an extra week of practice before beating the Yellow Jackets, 28-7 last season in Chapel Hill. The Heels didn't get the same prep time but used a portion of its August practice schedule to review coach Paul Johnson's option offense. Add Georgia Tech's bowl loss, and opponents with extra practice time are 3-0 against the Jackets and 2-9 without. (Raleigh News & Observer)
