Melanie Brill Named Progess Energy Performer Of The Week

Senior back Melanie Brill had a goal and an assist and anchored UNC's defense that pitched a shutout in field hockey's 4-0 win at Wake Forest to earn Progress Energy Tar Heel of the Week honors for September 28-October 4, 2009. Brill, a senior from Oley, Pa., played major roles on both ends of the field as the second-ranked Tar Heels beat No. 4 Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.
