Tar Heels look to simplify offense

North Carolina coach Butch Davis, obviously frustrated by his team’s offensive effort, said the Tar Heels will look to simplify their attack as they head into Saturday’s home game with Georgia Southern. Davis brushed off criticism of offensive coordinator John Shoop, saying the issue was the inexperience Carolina has, not the coordinator. “He doesn’t need defending,” Davis said.
