Gaston County duo adjusting to life as Tar Heel football players

When Jheranie Boyd took the field Saturday at Kenan Memorial Stadium he wore the uniform of a North Carolina Tar Heel wide receiver, but paid homage to his hometown with the words “gas” and “house” in his eye-black. Boyd of Gastonia and fellow true freshman A.J. Blue of Dallas have both earned significant playing time this year for Carolina after dazzling high school careers.
