Christian Russell is first 2011 verbal for Tar Heels

A 5-foot-11, 205-pound outside linebacker, Christian Russell of Westover (Fayetteville, NC) has committed to North Carolina for the Class of 2011. He was also offered by North Carolina State. Russell had an impressive underclassman showing at the Charlotte Nike Combine, posting an electronically-timed 4.95 40-yard dash, 4.42 20-yard shuttle, 28.7-inch vertical.
