Yes, it was an FCS opponent. But that's how the schedule shook out. Carolina drew Georgia Southern at the right time. The 42-12 victory was the single most complete performance of the Tar Heels' season. The defense helped the offense both by scoring and giving their teammates short fields on which to work.
