Posted Oct 14, 2009
Freshman second baseman Tommy Coyle went 3-for-3 with two runs and two stolen bases, and junior right-hander Patrick Johnson allowed just two hits over 5 2/3 innings in a 4-3 win for the Blue team Tuesday in game one of North Carolina's intra-squad Fall World Series at Boshamer Stadium. Coyle, a native of Chalfont, Pa., singled in each of his first three at-bats and walked in the sixth to reach base in all four plate appearances.
