Some college stars exceed expectations


In terms of star power, doesn't exactly stand out in a scan of North Carolina's class of 2009 football commitments. On recruiting Web sites, there are plenty of Tar Heels players with three or four stars next to their names. Highsmith was one of about a half-dozen players in North Carolina's class rated with two stars. But his performance thus far has exceeded that of other, more prominent recruits in his class.
