Kendric Burney was sorry to see John Bunting go, but he and the other class members were excited by the possibility of playing for Butch Davis, a successful college coach at Miami before jumping to the NFL. “Luckily, it was only a year under Bunting,” Burney said. “We didn’t get attached to that coaching staff as we would have” The class produced one certified superstar in wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
