In the course of back-to-back Thursday night ESPN showcase games, North Carolina went from blowing an 18-point lead against Florida State to gutting it out over Virginia Tech for one of the biggest wins in program history. ACC football — even Forrest Gump thinks the uncertainty is a little ridiculous. Casey Barth kicked a 21-yard field goal on the final play to lift the Heels over the Hokies 20-17. (850 The Buzz)
