UNC players, coaches relish Va. Tech win

North Carolina players and coaches were in a jubilant mood Friday after a stunning victory at Virginia Tech. The Tar Heels had suffered a crushing defeat the Thursday before against Florida State. Carolina led by 18 points in the third quarter before losing, 30-27. At Virginia Tech, however, UNC responded with a 20-17 victory on Casey Barth’s 21-yard field goal on the final play.
