Tar Heel Profile: Deon Thompson

Deon Thompson returns to UNC's basketball roster this season as the only scholarship player with 'true senior' standing. While Marcus Ginyard has been classified as a senior he's a fifth-year player, while fourth-year player William Graves is classified as a junior after he redshirted back in 2006-2007. That makes Thompson the last member of his freshman Class of 2006 that finds himself preparing to make his final run with the Tar Heels this coming season.
