Heels Turn Away Wolf Pack
Posted Nov 30, 2009
UNC trailed Nevada 64-62 with 7:26 to play, but the Tar Heels used a 12-3 spurt to retake command and outlast a scrappy Wolf Pack squad, 80-73, on Sunday. UNC (6-1) shot out to an 18-8 lead six minutes in against Nevada, eventually taking a 46-39 lead into halftime. But the Wolf Pack’s veteran lineup refused to back down, taking a short-lived lead in the second half before UNC’s final run locked up the victory.
