Dexter Strickland gives UNC option of using two smaller guards
Posted Dec 3, 2009
In the closing stages of UNC's 89-82 victory over Michigan State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams placed freshman guard Dexter Strickland on the floor alongside starting point guard Larry Drew. Strickland hopes to make a habit of that. Although Strickland was in the game as a second ballhandler to protect the Heels' lead, he would welcome the opportunity to play more frequently in tandem with Drew.
