John Wall focusing on beating Tar Heels, not payback

Posted Dec 4, 2009
Kentucky freshman star John Wall says he's not angry he never received a scholarship offer from UNC even though he grew up hoping to play for the Tar Heels. The Raleigh, N.C., native says he spoke to coach Roy Williams before the Tar Heels played in last year's national championship and that Williams told him he'd call back following the season. Wall says he never heard from the coach again. (Raleigh News & Observer)
