Not many offensive linemen get loads of attention. Then again, not many football players are like Plainfield's James Hurst. So it's no surprise the 6-5, 290-pound senior -- a top-10 national recruit (according to Rivals.com) who has committed to play at the University of North Carolina in 2010 -- is the 2009 All-West Player of the Year, beating out Monrovia senior slot back Austin Parks (1,862 rushing yards, 23 touchdowns) for the honor.
