Heels Drop Duke 76-68, Clinch ACC 1st Place

The top-ranked Tar Heels have listened all season long to criticism about their defensive deficiencies. But in its biggest game to date, North Carolina held No. 5 Duke scoreless over the final 5:42 to pull out a 76-68 victory in Cameron Indoor Stadium. North Carolina won its 26th ACC regular season championship with Saturday night’s win, while securing head coach Roy Williams’ third conference title in last four years.
