So much was made of North Carolina’s one made 3-pointer in last Monday’s overtime loss to the College of Charleston that in some media circles UNC’s struggles from the perimeter had become an epidemic. The Tar Heels entered Sunday night’s 78-64 victory over Virginia Tech at the Smith Center having made 38.5 percent of their threes but had been wildly inconsistent, so there was some merit to the criticism (Inside Carolina)
