Deon Thompson to play against new friend

Deon Thompson and Trevor Booker will face off in the lane tonight when 12th-ranked North Carolina (12-4 overall, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) takes on No. 24 Clemson. Rest assured, there will likely be a healthy verbal back-and-forth between the two senior forwards. After all, it has already started. “We trash talk,” Thompson said. “We’ve been looking forward to this game since this summer.” (Burlington Times News)
